April 20 saw the return of the annual SCR Golf Tournament at the Rockwood Park Golf Course in Fort Worth.
Sixteen teams consisting of members of SCR and their friends and colleagues gathered for a morning tee-time, breakfast, and mulligan sales, which directly benefitted the SCR Scholarship Fund.
Players golfed the 18-hole course shotgun style, stopping to enjoy contributions from sponsors along the way. Title Sponsor Award Surveying, Inc. gave players a look at how far their ball traveled thanks to their surveying technology set-up on the 18th hole. And the Beverage Cart made the rounds thanks to support from sponsor Mary Margaret Davis Real Estate Team. After play, the teams gathered for lunch thanks to sponsor TenSquare Construction Services. SCR Annual Sponsors also had signs on each of the holes throughout the course.
What began as a windy and overcast morning on the course ended with sunny skies and three tournament champions. SCR President Matt Briseno awarded first place to the team of Chad Kerr, Kyle Rowe, Dave Granger, and Jeff Permann, who swept the course with a score of 53. Coming in second was the team of Brad Hickey, Ryan Timmons, Keith McGuire, and John Sullivan ending with a score of 55. Third place went to the team of Will Thurmond, Ken Thurmond, Geoff Shelton, and Matt Beard who rounded out the game with a score of 58.
